Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that remains a major health issue in Indonesia. One of the effective preventive and management efforts is regular physical activity such as anti-hypertensive exercise. This community service aimed to improve knowledge and skills of hypertensive patients in performing anti-hypertensive exercise independently. The program was conducted over one month (February 2025) at the General Clinic of Jember Klinik Hospital with 30 participants. The methods included health education and direct training on anti-hypertensive exercises. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test assessments, as well as observation of movement practices. Results showed an increase in average knowledge scores from 58% to 82%, and 86% of participants were able to perform the exercise movements correctly. Participant responses were generally positive, indicating that this activity is suitable for further development as a routine program in healthcare facilities.
