Abstract

The reasons for circumcision in boys include social factors, culture, religion, and medicine. Routine circumcision healing looks good cosmetically, starting days 7-10 and without complications. In society, there are still myths that post-circumcision children consume the wrong food, according to the results of research from Darma, Zaimy, and Idaman, stating that the most common obstacle to healing post-circumcision wounds is precisely the wrong perception of parents about the knowledge received, beliefs that abstain from eating food certainly. The child has not been given protein-type foods such as eggs and meat fish because it will cause the wound not to heal, and itching will occur. Parents do not understand the suitable types of nutrition consumed in post-circumcision wounds, so an appropriate, interactive understanding of knowledge to straighten perceptions and overcome complaints and complications. The purpose of this community service is for the participants to understand the suitable types of nutrition to help speed up the healing of post-circumcision children's wounds and restore the wrong myth of food in post-circumcision wounds. The method has been carried out in the form of providing direct education to 21 parents of the child who is circumcised for 30 minutes using the media of posters, leaflets, questions, and answers as well as concrete examples of appropriate nutrition and has been distributed to the child in the form of cooked eggs rich in protein, apple juice drinks containing minerals zing. The impact of service activities has shown an increase in the understanding of parents and the child.
