DESIGN OF A PLATE ROLLING MACHINE TO HELP THE COMMUNITY IN WIROLEGI VILLAGE, JEMBER REGENCY, EAST JAVA

Abstract

The BAHARI JAYA TEKNIK engineering workshop is a Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) category workshop located on Jalan Sritanjung, Wirolegi Village, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency, East Java. This workshop is engaged in the business of making house fences, making canopies, and manufacturing and repairing simple tools. Currently orders at the Bahari Jaya Teknik technical workshop tend to increase from year to year. Many of them are orders in profiling that require a rolling process. The main problem for the Bahari Jaya Teknik engineering workshop is the unavailability of the plate rolling tool so that a plate rolling tool is needed. The purpose of this community service is the fulfillment of plate rolling machine equipment for this engineering workshop to help carry out the plate roll manufacturing process. This makes the work in this engineering workshop more effective and efficient. To help solve problems at the Marine Jaya Teknik Workshop, the Community Partnership Program (PKM) in Wirolegi Village, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency designs and manufactures plate rolling equipment. In the Community Partnership Program (PKM), in solving problems that exist with partners, a literature study has been carried out to create a roll machine model with technical drawings. The basics of selecting the design of the machine element are selected based on the theory of the design of the machine element. This tool is very helpful for the workshop that uses it.
