Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is a new virus outbreak that has affected the world since 2019, forcing countries to take preventive and rapid actions to combat the virus. The goal is to avoid a large number of casualties due to this new virus. One of the actions taken is the implementation of health protocols, such as the 3M (wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance), which aims to reduce the risk of increasingly rapid transmission of Covid-19. In addition, innovations are needed to continue to curb the transmission and impact of Covid-19. One such innovation is the Jember University Back to Village II KKN program, which is part of the university's community service mission. In this program, Jember University students developed a Public Health Information System to raise public awareness and concern for health during the Covid-19 pandemic. The activities were carried out in RT 06 RW 09, Patrang Village. The students conducted outreach, training, and mentoring on the Public Health Information System program. Three key areas were explained to the public: Public Health Information Flow, Public Health Information Card, and Community Contributions. By implementing these programs, the aim is to create a Covid-19 resilient environment, starting with public understanding, awareness, and responsibility for maintaining their health—personally, within their families, and in their communities. When all elements of society work together to implement the Public Health Information System, it is hoped that the transmission of Covid-19 can be reduced, and its impacts can be mitigated.
