This community service program aims to enhance parents’ understanding and awareness of implementing the 5R values (Ringkas – Concise, Rapi – Neat, Resik – Clean, Rawat – Care, Rajin – Diligent) to create a healthy, safe, and productive living environment. The activity was conducted at TK Ar-Rahim, Kemuninglor Village, Arjasa Subdistrict, Jember Regency, involving 45 parent participants. The key issues identified among the target group were the low level of hygiene and orderliness at home, as well as a limited understanding of the importance of instilling clean and organized habits from an early age. The program employed an educational and participatory approach, incorporating presentations, group discussions, role-playing, and live demonstrations. Evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests showed a 42% average increase in participant understanding, alongside a noticeable shift in attitudes and a commitment among parents to apply 5R principles at home. The program also produced educational materials, including a module and a leaflet, and received positive responses from the school, which expressed interest in continuing the initiative regularly. The success of this program aligns with similar community service efforts, underscoring the significance of collaboration between schools, families, and higher education institutions in supporting character education. This program makes a tangible contribution to the development of clean and healthy lifestyle habits from an early age and holds potential for replication in other educational institutions as part of environmental and character education for young children.
