SOCIALIZATION OF GREEN BEAN CRACKERS AND KATU LEAVES AS NUTRITIOUS FOOD TO PREVENT TODDLER STUNTING IN THE PONCOGATI REGION

Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development disorder that is often experienced by children due to poor nutrition, recurrent infections, and inadequate psychosocial stimulation. Bondowoso Regency is one of the areas affected, especially Poncogati Village. One way to prevent stunting can be done by providing nutritious food. The development of nutritious food, such as nutritious crackers made from Mung beans and Katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynus), hereinafter called Cangtuk crackers. The development of Cangtuk crackers is aimed in preventing and reducing cases of stunting that occur in Poncogati village. The nutritional content of Cangtuk crackers consists of 9.41% protein; 26.61% fat, 49.36% carbohydrates and 2.06% minerals are expected to be able to reduce and prevent cases of stunting in Poncogati Village. Community service activities are carried out by providing outreach regarding stunting and its prevention, followed by the introduction of Cangtuk cracker products for toddlers and pregnant women as an effort to prevent stunting.
