Etnomatematika Pada Bentuk Jajanan Pasar di Daerah Kabupaten Jember

Abstract

Ethnomatematics is a concept in the field of mathematics that has cultural elements in it. Indirectly, mathematical concepts and mathematical ideas can be found by people in everyday life. For example, the concept of mathematics in various market snacks. Market snacks are traditional foods that are in certain areas and have ancestral heritage values. Pasar snacks can be found in traditional market areas and are now even developing in shopping centers or modern malls. Conceptually, market snacks have a shape similar to geometric shapes. This research was made aiming to find out the elements or shapes of spatial structures that exist in market snacks in one of the traditional markets in Jember Regency. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection using literature review, field studies, and interviews with related parties. After carrying out the field study activities, several geometric elements were found, including blocks, tubes, and balls.
