Abstract

Abstract. Klakat in Balinese culture is usually used for every religious and cultural activity in Bali. Since childhood, children in Bali have been taught to make Klakat with the aim of maintaining a culture that has been passed down for generations. This research aims to explore the relationship between the mathematical concept of geometry and the manufacture and use of Klakat in the culture of the Balinese people. To achieve this goal, an interview was conducted with one of the people who often make Klakat in Mendoyo Dauh Tukad village. This research focuses on exploring the culture in Mendoyo Dauh Tukad village. After observation, interviews, and documentation analysis, several relationships of mathematical concepts of geometry were found in Klakat. The concepts of etnomathematics obtained include squares, cubes, prisms, and others
