Abstract

Abstract. Bali known for its culture and traditions. Mathematics in culture is known as ethnomathematics. We can find mathematical concepts in a particular culture, for example in the calculation of Hindu religious holy days as well as details regarding the holy days of Purnama and Tilem. This research is fundamental in nature and has the aim of obtaining information related to Ethnomatematics in the Balinese calendar system. Therefore, the research design is exploratory. From the observations, obtained on the calculation of Hindu religious holy days which are generally calculated based on pawukon and wewaran. Apparently, in its application there is the application of the concept of KPK (Less Common Multiple). Whereas on the holy days of Purnama and Tilem, pengalantaka is a reference or basis for determining full moon and tilem listed in the Balinese calendar as parameters or guidelines for determining good and bad days.
