This research aims to analyze the social impacts caused by lava floods as well as the adaptation strategies carried out by the people of Liwek Hamlet in facing this disaster. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach to describe the life experiences of affected communities. The research results show that lava floods cause infrastructure damage, social isolation, and disruption of daily activities, including education and the economy. The Liwek Hamlet community has developed various adaptation strategies to overcome these impacts, which include active adaptation such as making alternative roads and repairing bridges, as well as passive adaptation by adjusting to existing conditions. In addition, economic adaptation is carried out through diversification of income sources and savings, while social adaptation is realized in the form of mutual cooperation to improve infrastructure. Solidarity and strong togetherness are the keys to successful community adaptation in facing the lava flood disaster.
