Abstract

The roles of the diaspora is to spread values such as sports or traditions of their home countries. One of the example is, the role of the Brazilian diaspora in spreading the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United Arab Emirates. United Arab Emirates. The Brazilian diaspora has played an important role in spreading the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, namely in popularizing this sport in the United Arab Emirates. In popularizing the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the Brazilian diaspora spread by dominating wrestling competitions in the United Arab Emirates, teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in various schools, and forming events related to Brazilian Jiu
Jitsu such as in "Brazil Pavilion at expo 2020". The presence of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United Arab Emirates, has resulted in a variety of sporting and educational improvements for both Brazil and the United Arab Emirates. The existence of the
Brazilian diaspora in the United Arab Emirates, is also one of the implementations of public diplomacy, namely by spreading the sport of Brazilian JiuJitsu martial arts.
