Studi Deskriptif di UPTD Perlindungan Perempuan dan Anak Kabupaten Sidoarjo

Abstract

Violence against women within the household context generates negative impacts that can disrupt their social functioning. Therefore, the provision of social services by humanitarian organizations is necessary to protect and assist victims in resolving their issues, thereby enabling them to regain a state of well-being. This study aims to explore and analyze the forms of social services provided by the Women and Children Protection Unit (UPTD PPA) of Sidoarjo Regency for female victims of domestic violence. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method and was conducted at the UPTD PPA of Sidoarjo Regency. Informant selection utilized purposive sampling, involving five primary informants and three additional informants. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, documentation, and open-ended questionnaires. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The findings revealed five forms of social services offered by the UPTD PPA of Sidoarjo Regency to female victims of domestic violence, namely psychological counseling, mediation, legal assistance, temporary shelter provision, and monitoring.
