Pengaruh Penerapan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) terhadap Produktifitas Tenaga Kerja pada Proyek Pekerjaan MEP di Apartemen Kyo Society Surabaya

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) program on labor productivity in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work projects in the construction of Kyo Society Apartments in Surabaya. This study aims to: 1) Identify occupational safety and health risks faced by MEP workers; 2) Analyze the effect of OHS risks on labor productivity; 3) Formulate mitigation efforts to minimize these risks. This research uses quantitative methods with data collection through surveys distributed to MEP project workers. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to test the relationship between OHS variables and work productivity. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between OHS implementation and labor productivity. Good implementation of OHS programs contributes to increased productivity through reduced incidence of workplace accidents and improved worker health. Proposed risk mitigation efforts include periodic training, provision of personal protective equipment (PPE), and strict enforcement of safety policies. In conclusion, the implementation of OHS has a positive impact on labor productivity in MEP projects. The recommendations from this study are expected to be a reference for project managers to improve the effectiveness of the OHS program in order to achieve optimal productivity and a safer work environment
