Kompetensi dan Kinerja Pegawai di Badan Pendapatan Daerah Kabupaten Jember
Abstract
This study explains the influence of competence on employee performance at the
Regional Revenue Agency of Jember Regency. The 2022 LAKIP report shows a satisfactory
performance with a 16.04% increase compared to 2021. According to Suparyadi (2015),
competence is crucial for improving employee performance and achieving organizational
goals. The 2021 LAKIP report states this improvement was supported by technical guidance
and job training. Gustiana et al. (2022) note that training programs enhance employee
competence, thus supporting organizational goals. This associative quantitative research uses
Likert scale questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The sample includes
99 of 131 employees, determined using the Slovin formula and simple random sampling.
Validity and reliability were tested with Pearson correlation and Cronbach's alpha using SPSS
version 25. Spearman's rank correlation analysis showed a value of 0.650, and the t-test result
was 8.425 > 1.660, indicating a significant positive influence of competence on employee
performance.
