Peer Review Process

Manuscripts are submitted to the Journal of Public Administration Progress (JPAP) and go through a process of selection, assessment, and by a team of editors to ensure compliance with the Purpose and Scope writing guidelines and meet excellent quality and academic rules. Manuscript review is carried out by double blind peer review method (reviewers do not know each other's identity).

Peer Review stages include:

  1. Desk Review, At the desk review stage the manuscript is examined by a team of editors to ensure compliance with the guidelines for writing objectives and scope and meets excellent quality and academic rules. The results of the desk review give permission to improve the manuscript to the author if it is feasible but still meets the requirements, and it is also possible that the manuscript is immediately rejected if it is not feasible and does not meet the requirements. This is done within 1 week after submission.
  2. Peer review, this stage is carried out after the manuscript passes the desk review stage by the editorial board and is distributed to 2 reviewers who have expertise related to the draft manuscript. The review process is carried out within 1 month after the manuscript is distributed by the editorial board.
  3. Reviewer Decision:

- Manuscript accepted for publication

- Manuscript accepted with minor or major revisions

The editorial team conducts the process of returning the manuscript to the author for revision.

revision in accordance with the input from the reviewer with a period of 2 weeks.

4. Manuscripts that have been improved in accordance with the reviewer's request can be considered for publication by the editor team after the process of correcting language and writing rules.

5. Confirmation of publication to the author.
